This was the prettiest yellow wedding! I am really not a big fan of yellow but after this wedding I might have changed my mind. Carmin & Wesley got married in a beautiful little church.

We had a little photo booth at their wedding and this proofed to be a big hit!

I met Eden-Leigh`s mommy Kim and daddy in November 2012. What a lovely family! Soon after our pregnancy shoot baby Eden-Leigh arrived. I was very lucky to get some photos where she smiled to the camera. For the festive season I got her a red tutu and hat! It was just too cute.

I recently met the Carelse Family. They have two beautiful little girls! Tara is the newest addition to their family. She was too cute and like so many new borns refused to sleep! I loved this family as they are down to earth and very loving..I hope to see you soon again ! :)

This little family is very dear to me. Gerrit is one of my Husband`s best friends and we consider them as family. I took a few pics one Sunday afternoon in their Garden as a gift to them. Oh Boy and can I say Andray like so many two year old`s cant sit still for a minute! At least I got a few nice ones for their wall!

Melisha - Pregnancy

I recently took some photos of this little growing family! They have no idea if it is a Boy or a Girl and I must say I cant wait to find out with them! They explained that in their religion, Hindu the GURU will give them some ideas with names depending on when the baby is born. Everything in this pregnancy is a surprise to this lovely couple! How awesome is that...I wish them lots of love, happiness and memories with their first baby!

Riana & Sacha visited my home just a couple of days before she gave birth to a beautiful little boy. It was in the middle of the Rugby World Cup and France won their game this morning. Sacha is from France and the big smile on his face had nothing to do with the shoot! Looking forward to meeting Enzo!

Its been a while since I posted...I think I went into a bit of a hibernation mode! I am not a winter person and those that know me will agree. Today is one of those days where the rain is falling buckets and I am still in my PJ`s at 15:00, warm and cozy under the blankets with my doggie children.

Spring is here! I have slowly but surely started to shoot again. Attached is pics of Carmin & Wesley. I am shooting their wedding next weekend in Simons Town and just cant wait for my first wedding this season!

I recently photographed baby Zeta. As most babies she got very sick after her birth with Flu and we had to extend her shoot until she was about 2 weeks old. On the day of the shoot she decided for us, no wings, beanies or anything that tickles, thank you! Finally she fell asleep for about an 1/2 hour !
She was just to precious!

What an unique wedding. Set in the picturesque Stellenbosch Botanical Gardens. The day truly reflected the young and vibrant personalities of Lara and Hannes. I partnered up with fellow photographer Gerard Dehlen and captured many magical moments with this couple. Cupcakes, organic foods,icecream (yummy!!!!) and music where flowing at the reception. The highlight was the wine made by Lara herself. What a fun filled and happy day was had by all.....Congrats to the happy couple...it was truly a pleasure being a part of a very special day!

I recently had the honour of shooting my lovely cousins wedding in George, Tramonto. It is a beautiful venue and the little church on the property is really quaint with huge windows, wooden benches and a huge chandelier. As I live in Cape Town I haven`t seen Mari in years and still thought of her as a little girl is some ways..boy was I wrong. I was so proud as my little cousin was a beautiful, mature, young lady and such an elegant bride! We had really little time as Mari got ready for the ceremony and mist decided to show up but we still managed to get some great images! Baby Gabriel was such a treat to shoot! I instantly fell inlove with this baby boy. He was exactly 2 months old when we( Me & his God Mother, Gabriella) got hold of him! Every now and again he had a big smile on his face for a few seconds..I was VERY lucky and got it on an image ! Enjoy!

A happy little boy and looking so cute in his little sailer outfit! I could not resist taking photos of the little sailer shoes and his ship's mate 'teddy'.

Blowing kisses and playing with the grass took prescidence over his treasure trove of toys brought with.

So ships ahoy and aargh me harties....a treasure was found in this 'Little Sailor Boy Zac'.

Today I received the nicest email from Melissa and yes I am going to put some of it on my blog :) Every bride is so special to me and I just love getting a warm, heartfelt email...wedding photography is so rewarding!

"I took my album to work today and everyone said it looked like they come out of a magazine. My photos are beautiful and I am very happy with it! Your work is great. My photographer for life! "

Marco & Melissa 24th January 2011

I photographed Marco & Melissa`s wedding on the 11th December 2010 and was honoured to share their special day with them.

I had a friend Gerard Dehlen join me as a second shooter, and boy did we have fun! I am definitely going to work with him again in the near future!

Marco and Melissa, each have a little girl of 7 years, they looked too cute in their little white dresses, pink bows and pumps.

Melissa was such a Pretty Bride! Her dress was both classic and romantic. I captured some beautiful moments of her whilst getting ready.

The event took place in Noordhoek, Sacred Mountain and was breathtakingly gorgeous.They had a small intimate wedding with pink and orange flowers everywhere, cute cartoon versions of themselves adorned their sumptuous wedding cake.

I really connected with this couple and they made me feel so welcome, a real part of their family.

I wish them lots of love, happiness and maybe the future might hold a little boy!

Monray & Lianne 04th December 2010

I photographed Monray and Lianne`s Wedding at Nelsons Creek recently. I was honored to have Samantha Jackson with me to assist. She is a good friend and has a great future ahead of her in photography.

Monray and Lianne are a stunning couple I met at a Wedding more than a year ago. Lianne was a beautiful bride and I could see how she fought back the tears on her big day!

Their couple shoot went very well. Nelsons Creek is a great location and offers lots of different settings and locations.

Monray and Liann`s wedding was colourful, it really complimented their personalities! The bright orange and pink wedding cake and the brightly coloured feathers to decorate their function area were stunning. I was truly privileged to have met such an amazing couple; there is no doubt in my mind that they will be very happily married for years to come. Lianne wrote me a mail this week and I just had to post part of it, as it made my heart warm, and yes I had to brag a little! :)

On behalf of Monray and myself , We`d like to thank you once again for all your time, effort and hard work that you`ve put in even before the wedding. You have made us feel like we were your only clients you have by giving us the best service we could hoped for. We sincerely appreciate every call, email and appointment you have made. I took these photographs after they came back from their Honey Moon. This was such a challenging shoot as the wind decided to rear its ugly heaad. Some of my equipment blew away, and I incurred huge damage to one of my lenses. Lessons learned! :) However it was all worth it as I shot great images to be proud of. The couple was relaxed, on the beach, and the sun was setting behind Table Mountain. What more can you ask for!

I just can't believe how this year has flown! I have not touched my blog in a couple of months! I feel like I have to introduce myself all over again....
Well, people make new year resolutions all the time, and mine is to blog at least 3 times a month.....easy!

I have just been so busy taking photos....editing,editing and yes you guessed it ......more editing....

I have learned so much from other photographers and blogs this year! This was my biggest goal. I thought I would list a few sites for my photographic friends....just maybe there is one you missed..learning from others is just so much fun and worth it!

I can really recommend Fast Forward and their wedding short courses. Visit their site at www.fastforward.co.za.
Christine Meintjies is just one of my Idols and you can visit her site at www.christinemeintjies.co.za. She has some great tips for photographers and if you already know her work, you will know how inspirirational her photos are! LOVE IT!!!! There is also quite a few Lightroom presets worth downloading. I received regular blogs from Eric Uys and assisted him a few times! Visit his site for inspiration at www.ericuys.com and subscribe to receive his latest work.
An excellent blog to belong to is Elizabeth Halford Photography, www.elizabethhalford.com. I joined the BIG social network, Facebook. It is the easiest way to meet up with tons of photographers and potential clients. Met some awesome people through facebook. I am friends with SA Camera and Orms. Really great advice and tips (all free)!
I joined the Durbanville photography club a couple of months ago, and although it is mostly beginners, I really enjoy the guest speakers. We meet up every first Monday of a month. You are welcome to mail me if you need more information on this.

One important thing I have learned this year, is to learn from failure...it takes character to admit failure, learn and move on. Don't be too hard on yourself, people's taste and opinions differ on what is considered a good shot. Build and create your own style you can be comfortable with.

Over Christmas I surprised my husband with plane tickets to visit his parents in Port Elizabeth. It was a great Christmas and I could not help but to take some pictures of our little nephew Kylie. He is so adorable and we just love this little boy!
